| Recently, I bought a Frabill 5410 net (26" x 30" teardrop hoop, 48" slide handle, 44" deep Heavy Black Poly net with 2" mesh).
I liked the light weight feel and the size is substantial enough for the NJ Muskie I've been landing. Net was in stock at a local shop and I needed light because I mostly fish alone and every advantage counts in the few minutes of landing a fish.
Problem is with the 2" mesh, my last two fish (both between 38" and 40") have gotten part of their gills and or snout caught in the mesh. This was a real pain in the arse and delayed my release.
Any suggestions and how and what to change out the netting to ?
I'm checking the Frabill site but was hoping for a real world example.
