Location: north west wisconsin | 39 1/2 saturday and a 34 1/2 today won it.
Don't know how many fish were caught today for sure I heard the 34 1/2 and one more
Saturday 7 "legals" caught and 6 "non legals"
Petenwell is a hard place to fish we fished hard both days in a variety of structure with out even seeing a musky did catch a nice catfish and snaged a carp.
Had an owl go after a topwater that I won saturday night. Was one of the coolest things I've seen in a while he would come down and go after the bait and I would crank it away from him. He must of come after it 4 times each time he would go and perch up in a tree and wait... would have made great video footage but we couldn't get the camera to work
Congrats to Travis P and Jimmy O for winning the PMC
Great Tourny and awsome sponsers I would like to thank all the sponsers who donated.
P.S. Hope you catch a Big one on the bling Norm...... Heard you guys nicknamed it!!!

| we were fishing nearby Travis and Jimmy when they caught the 39.5", lots of cheering and high-fives from them. they overcame some technical difficulties to win the tourney: their trolling motor wasn't putting out enough power to hold them against the current, so they were essentially drifting their Esox Magnum past the spots. congrats on a well-earned win.
i attached a couple pics of the larger of the 2 fish caught by the winning team. i really like the dark black back and distinct white belly on that fish.
Tim and i could only manage a 33.5" that hit a double-10 BooBling spinnerbait. it's our 3rd year in a row that we've got a fish between 33-34", just below the cutoff to score any points for the tourney...argh.
we also heard about someone getting a fat 29" walleye when trolling on Sunday. great fish!
apparently on Sunday a non-tournament fisherman who was bass fishing with small spinnerbaits managed to catch a 48" muskie instead! we all would have loved to have that one!
Todd Forcier ran another outstanding event, and i can't wait to hear how much money was raised to fund stocking more fish into the Petenwell system...i know there was a lot of money raised, especially from our table!

Location: north central wisconsin | Another great event put on by Todd. Some tougher conditions for Pete, but we had fun nonetheless. I lost a fish Sat. and dad on Sunday, with dad catching a big walleye on Sun while trolling a Krusher. My brother ironically caught a monster walleye the same day, casting a GP Thumper spinnerbait.

Location: Mauston, Wisconsin | Yeah- The Pete is a very tough big beast! But she can produce fish with shoulders. Saturday, we trolled all day and got a sheephead & a walleye on Zam's. Should have stayed where the walleye was- 5 minutes before end of day, another team popped a 38.5" in the same area where we caught the walleye. Watching eagles , cranes, geese, i.e., mother nature at it's finest & at times what seemed like her fiercest with the wind & cold front.
Great event, thanks to Todd & all the rest of the C&R support staff and especially the sponsors. The Saturday banquet and raffles were great- loads of laughter and good discussion with other contestants. One of the other teams lost a huge fish on Saturday, i.e., "it would have taken the tourney even if someone else doubled". They placed third this year w/ a 38.5" out of devil'ls elbow on Sunday, i.e., the largest fish of the two caught on Sunday for big fish on Sunday and a third place tie.(last year they placed fourth.)
I spoke with the winner's and the judge at the awards. The judge caught the 48.25 " on a chartreuse jig with a twister tail in ~ 6-8" of water . Jimmy O (1st place team ) wasn't to far away & Jimmy jumped in the judge's boat & netted it. 10lb line-no leader- go figure! Pretty fish-great pictures. About 20 minutes later Jimmy O caught the 34.5" that won the tourney- w/ 4 minutes to go. Lesson-> never give up- just one more cast is all it takes!
That's muskie fishing, see you next year!
Have fun!

| hey guys, jim and i thank you all for the congrats. travis p. here. it was great to finally get out and have a full weekend of musky hunting! although we were a little frustrated with trolling motor problems both days, it may have been a blessing for us as we were forced to fish a lot slower than we probably normaly would have. it was also pretty cool to see jim have success with his home made glide bait he has named "the trophy"!
thanks lambeau for the great pics - and by the way - nice tuffy you were toolin around in!
see you all either around on the water, or at the 2009 PMC.........

Location: WESTERN WI | I would like to thank Todd Forcier for another awesome tournament! It was another great time and the weather was pretty good. (could have done with a little less wind on day 2 however)
Congrats to Travis & Jimmy for doubling up to seal up 1st place, well done guys. I'll be sure to put extra fuses in my boat after hearing what you guys went through.
It was awesome to stick a fish on Saturday with less than 4 minutes left before Day 1 that ended up placing 5th. I owe my tournament partner, Jake Thompson, for getting us on the water and keeping us there until the end of fishing hours.
All in all a great time was had at the PMC. Thanks again Todd Forcier, Mike Keyes and all the great sponsors! Congrats to Travis and Jimmy!
