Location: Hugo, MN | Shack attack makes replacement tails, so once it gets too Frankenstein lookin' you can cut it off and melt on a new tail of any color. A small pencil type soldering iron works perfect. Let the tip heat up, position the two pieces together and swipe the heated tip through the seam, pressing the two together briefly. This also works great for deep gashes in the body, as it doesn't burn the plastic the way a lighter does. If you ever need more plastic to melt into a severely damaged area, you can cut off the eyes of the Dawg and melt them into the area. Some of the Uptown Dawgs were too soft and contained a lot of large glitter, making them easy to tear, and the wire harness would pull out because it was too close the the bottom of the bait. To save these kind of baits, I've melted in some stronger, similar colored plastic from some some Jelly Hoo's (Salt Water Minnow Trailers), and that seemed to help. Only so much you can do with bad plastic. |

Mend-It is awesome! Melts the plastic without the use of a flame, very nice in windy conditions. Smells a bit tho...but not much more than a paintfactory..
