Location: W. PA. | Hold the blades over a heat gun for 30-60 seconds to get them hot then either dip in the powder to paint the whole blade or dip a paint brush in the paint and tap it over top of the blade to only do one side. Reheat slightly to smooth out the paint. This works well for multiple colors also. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes to cure. Here is a pic of some walleye spinner blades I did this way. These are candy colors that let the shine of the blade show through. The bottom 2 are what you get when your powder paint is old and has been subjected to high temps/humidity. It doesn't flow right and kind of crystalizes.
