| This is my first ever post on here after reading all winter. Just curious as to which lure is going to be on the end of your line on that first cast, opening day.
I am thinking about throwing a basic Mepps Marabou to start it off.

| the lake we're fishing is clear water, with very nice shallow scattered cabbage early in the year before the milfoil starts up.
i'm leaning towards a purple 4" grandma: twitch, twitch, twitch...
close behind will be a baby wabull and a candy spin.

Then, probably as downsized bucktail of some sort like a vibrax or mepps mini marabou..

| First cast will probably be a Super Model just because I'm curious to see how hard it pulls. After that I'll probably cast a DCG for a bit than switch to a Phantom. |

| well, it was the double 12 turbine for me. i didn't think it was that much worse than a DCG. meh. after that, pounder, then a hellhound which produced the first 2 follows of the season. once the 1000 mph winds quit, i know where they live. |

| If it's IN, probably be a shad colored swimbait of some sort. The Fox Chain? 6" reef hawg, orange. Madison? Maybe a black/orange regular dawg. N WI? Baby Wabull or a twitched X-Rap.
It really depends on where, when, and what things look like when I get there. |

Friggin' doubles always tangle the lines...

Location: Hudson, WI | Llungen DC-9. I'll be really tempted to throw one of the Mini Super Humper's from Musky Buster at some point and jigs are starting to intrigue me more and more (even though they have been around since the 18th century). All depends how the fish are moving. But just due to confidence in a bait, blue/nickel DC-9. I really like these bucktails. |

Did you see a lot of fish on that Krusher? Kind of a goofy looking bait, but I've heard nothing but positive reviews on it. You're like the 4th guy who has told me they boated a fish on a Krusher this spring. |

| Yeah, my fault. I was thinking of a different bait. The Krushers are Llungen's new cranks. They are nice looking cranks. Thanks

| I started out with an SS Shad, no dice. That SS Shad is begging to get eaten this year, maybe in a couple of weeks. Only action I've had so far this year was on a custom spinnerbait. |

Location: Northwest Chicago Burbs | Small Glide bait typically a smuttly dog, cobbs or magic maker. Really depends on the conditions. Basically downsize and slow down to start. Some days baits work like a large lipless rattle bait, small bucktail, mid size topwater, small twitcher, small crank. Some days summer and fall patterns work too. Depends on the conditions and bite. |
