I have an Okuma Induron and the anti reverse isn't working. It works fine a minute as you are retrieving line and then the reel handle will start spinning backwards. I can mail it in but was hoping that someone might be able to tell me how to fix it myself since I am in the dead center of our chinook season.

Thank you!

Sounds like oil on the anti-reverse bearing to me.

Steve,

I'm looking at the schematic and don't see a "anti-reverse bearing". I do see an "anti reverse ratchet" and a "one way clutch bearing".

A one way clutch bearing is the "anti-reverse bearing". Dry it off and have at it.

shoot me a PM with 4 digit lot number. This is located on the bottom of the reel foot. It'll tell me if you have the current bearing.

I'll have to look, but I think that is a reel produced a few years ago. If so, I'll get you the upgraded bearing and the thumb screw sent out tomorrow. Shoot me a PM with your address.

Mark, your customer service is second to none. You take care of anybody that has a problem or a question, which in todays world not too many companies put the consumer before the almighty dollar. Keep up the great work!!!

That is EXACTLY why I want to get Mark in the boat this Fall. Not every once in awhile, EVERY time there's a question/issue/concern, he's right on top of it. Customer service is KING, always has been and always will be. Way to go Mark! You just saved a fisherman money, but more importantly, TIME! Steve

Good point...not only saved him time and money, but more than likely has another loyal customer. Great job!! I sure do like seeing things like this!
