I am looking at a boat with a 2001 Merc 60 4 stroke tiller.I have been running Suzukis and have been very happy,but can,t pass on this deal.Has anybody had any problems with 2001 Merc 4 strokes?Have they made any major changes since 2001? Was 2001 a good year for Merc.Has the tiller handle changed much?The Boat is a Lund 1675 Tiller and I plan on using this boat for Trolling in the Fall for muskies.Thanks for any info

Good motors generally. All Merc that year, I believe. Some guys don't like the handle on the Mercs. You can get Smartcraft for these to control trolling by Speed or RPM.
