| I receiver my R&H 2008 Musky shop Catalog today, opened it up to look at all the new stuff. I Missed the best part until this evening when I picked it up and took a good look at the cover. I'd missed that bucktail, on the far left, hanging from the branch. All he-- is about to break loose. Looked for the artist but couldn't find a signature. He, I assume it is a he, captured the essence of Muskie
fishing.
Well done Rollie & Helen's! |

| It is indeed Terry Doughty who does the cover art. He always comes up with something creative. The T-Shirt he does is a perennial best seller too. |

| Me to a fishing buddy late last fall "ya know, that would have been a great cast if there was about 10 more feet of lake there". I still know where that bait is (about 20 feet up in a tree) and hoping to retrieve it when the water opens up. |

| When I was about 10 years old,(almost 30 years ago) I worked and saved for a month or two to buy a bagleys shad to cast for northerns in the local river. The prettiest and most expensive bait I ever bought, I was very proud. First cast, into a tree on the other side of the river. Dangeling there above the river while tears filled my eyes, and my friend and fishing competitor "eddy" laughed and laughed, he was a jerk... I got ready for the big yank to try and free the lure by lowering the bait a litle closer to the water and just as I did a northern jumped up, grabed the lure and pulled the line free. I caught my first over fifty last year after 8 years of trying, thousands on baits and rods, reels and trips to Canada and new ranger 620. Not nearly as satisfying as catching that pike and seeing the look on eddy's face.
