Up until yesterday, I would have been mowing snow.

I have a DR Brush Mower, so I frequently let things get a bit pasturey.

And me with no horse, a shame for a New Mexico and country raised boy!!

Unlike the rest of you fella's, I mow regularly. I like a well manicured lawn---that's why I personally bought my own riding mower. I get a clean cut lawn and a tan at the same time in half the time!!!! Waiting for a man to do it, used to cause the pasture problem you all speak of. Being the perfectionist I am, can't stand the eyesore of it. But like Worrall, up till this week yard has been under snow. [:halo:] []

I go fishing and let the grass grow until the small children can get lost in my yard. LOL Actually I hire my nephew or one of the neighbor kids to do the deed for me. This year my kinship kid has expressed an interest in the lawn mower. This is great news to me. I will be more than happy with his work on the lawn. Mike

I don't Mow,Trim Bushes,Paint, Etc. Live in a Townhouse and the association takes care of all that, leaves me with more time for fishing[] []

I mow as needed. I was always the organized type and the service made me more so. SWorrall's lawn typically looks like a weed jungle. He He. It's fun picking on the old man.

I am possibly the stupidest guy on this site. I just got done purchasing all the fertilizers for the first application on my lawn. After applying this magic grass growing potion I end up mowing my lawn twice a week. If it gets dry, instead of celebrating, I instead water it so I once again have to mow it more often. I probably lose a fishing trip a week because I like to have a nice looking lawn (don't even ask about the garden).

I usually take care of it one weeknight every week and then give up my Saturday morning for the yardwork. It works out alright as I only have an hour drive to be in the heart of Vilas county and am still able to get an eight hour trip after the honey dos are done.

I gotta admit I like a decent looking yard, gets mowed as it needs it.

To cut down on yard time and maximize Musky Time I bought a 52" deck for my rider and a commercial weed eater.

Bring on the grass skirts..[:0] []

I try to cut it once a week if I find the time but the grass in my backyard grows like weeds and needs to be cut at least twice a week or it gets over 6 inchers long. Last year I had the smart idea of getting a bagging system for my riding mower for those times when I am more then a week without cutting the grass well the first time I used it I picked up enough grass to fill the back of my pick up. Man I can barely make it around the yard once and had to empty the 2 bags some 6 cubic feet, and I stopped 3/4 of the way to stuff it in so I can make it to the dumping spot. I now would rather mulch it weekly but at times I have to slow to a crawl so the blades don't stop and burn a belt.

I have about had it with moving I believe this will be my last year.

Funny that you ask this question, I own a lawn care company. Up until a couple of days ago I would have said that I have my workers cut my grass, they both quit on Tuesday, now I'm back chasing a mower around all day!!!![:knockout:]

Jason that a good one.I work nites so I hate when my neighbors mow while I try to sleep.Believe that thought has cross my mind more then once[] .I think it would just cause problems if I crank the old mower up at three in the morning,I just get even by letting the grass grow.[] Blummer

The wife has me put in rock boarders and flowers.

Soon there will be no grass left and if I do miss any, it will become black top.[]

I think I might have screwed up regarding this area. I moved from a home last year where I had about a half acre. It took me maybe 40 minutes to mow by hand, not a problem. Our new house has 2 acres, which takes me about 3 hours with a 42" deck rider. What was I thinking? I guess I wasn't. I do love the property though.

Blummer, what are you talking about? This is a Musky question! [;)] [:p]

I love mowing my yard. Let me tell you how I do it. First, on Friday evening I move my mower from the shed to the garage. Fill the tank with gas and let it sit overnight. At 5am when I get up to go fishing I check the mower location, walk back into the Kitchen grab a pen and piece of paper and write the following:

"Zac please mow the lawn while I am gone"

Mysteriously when I get home the lawn is mowed.

It's good to have a 10 year old who doesn't like to wake up early and doesn't particularily care to fish.
