Location: Puyallup, WA | I was lucky enough to win the MuskieFirst - Lax contest this past year. Well I just received the beautiful replica last Friday. Measures out perfectly Great S-Curve pose. Looks exactly like the pictures. It's definitely a work of art.
When I get lucky enough to get a fat 50"er, I'll be contacting Rick Lax. Thanx again Rick Lax and MuskieFirst.

No doubt about it, Rick does a great job, at the Blaine show he finished our big fish of the year for the TC chapter, and it was simply a head turner at the show. Thanks Rick and staff for the great repo!

| He does amazing work.
One thing I realized at the Blaine show was he was not only good at muskies but his walleye and bass mounts were also a work of art. I think I am going to do a smallmouth I got on the river this year. As soon as I get a musky worthy, I will be making a phone call to Rick.

I would take a repo over the real fish mount any day, not for the fact of releasing fish, but the repo's are more durable, skin does not dry out, fins don't dry out and crack.

| There are soooo many reasons to get a replica, let me count the ways.LOL. In my opinion, there is no reason to keep the "real thing" with the quality of replica available today. Cost has always been a concern as well. In most instances, the cost of a skin mount will mirror that of a replica. Trophy fish of any specie are an important part of each systems ecological balance and it takes many years for the fish to reach trophy proportions. Rick has taken his work to the next level by incorporating some of the technological advances in the industry as well as taking immense pride in his painting.His passion for what he does speaks volumes . Oh, and his brother -in-law is pretty cool too. Steve |
