Stupid question but I knew I could get some help here! I am installing a 522 igps in the boat. Do I need to hook up the NMEA 2000 power cable if the unit has the internal antenna or do this cable need to be hooked up for the GPS to work? The manual says you need this cable hooked up for network and any NMEA 2000 device, including the GPS module to work. HELP!!!
