Finaly made it to Cave Run, Cabin Fever really sucks !

Saturday 3-15 the Water was about 2-3 ft. below summer pool and was pretty muddy looking every where I went. Air temps were 42-43* with rain from 1:00 till dark. Water temps were 43-44.5*
The 3-4 boats that I ran into were throwing Rattle baits and were seeing/boating smaller fish.

I saw 2 fish and the first one (36-38)was caught on a Cowgirl while I was "practicing with the new Trinadad" (Sweet Reel) the second smaller fish was caught on a Rattling Shad, both were in 6-8 ft of water.

Sunday I blew a good fish on the net job but it was still a rush and the only fish I saw that day ...... Found warmer water(45-47*) and camped in that area for way to long.
I'm up in Ohio working untill Thurs, then it's back to the Cave for 3 more days....

Oh, and I think I'm getting over the dreadful Cabin Fever now, Later,

Jerome

Fished the Cave Monday and Tuesday. Water was 41 in the AM, warming to 44 in the PM. I stayed up in the dam end of the lake, caught one in the lower 40's on a Believer, 10 feet of water near a laydown. Most were fishing in Scotts creek and in the other coves. Water was muddy as is typical for spring. They were drawing water, and most locals will tell you that it puts the fish in a neutral mood. Looking forward to my next trip later this spring!
