Location: Bowling Green, KY | I finally caught my ever musky yesterday! I caught it off the bank on striper
colored hellbender. It was a nice one too. I'm guessing a roughly 42" fish that
had a belly like a prespawn largemouth, I bet it weighed 20 lbs. The kicker was
after spending all winter gathering together a bunch of musky tackle I caught it
with an old BPS Extreme MH bass rod that made it one heck of a battle. Plus I
managed to stick 2 more, I'm pumped. |

Location: Pelican Lake/Three Lakes Chain | Two and a half feet of ice on the lakes around here and you are going to rub in catching muskies. Where's your sense of decency?
Seriously, nice job and congratulations. |

Location: Bowling Green, KY | I've got some 35mm pictures of the fish in the water, but they didn't come out
too well. I was by myself and it was sprinkling rain. The river bank was so muddy that I was afaid to try pulling the fish completely out of the water for fear
of going into the 45 degree water myself. Plus I didn't want to accidently kill my
first ever musky trying to drag it father up the muddy bank. So I left it in the water and worked the hook out. It was an amazing strike though! Because of
the mud I couldn't get close enough to the water to even do an L turn, let alone
a fig. 8 I was stopping the bait with about 3 feet of line out letting it float almost
to the top then twitching it. Twitch-BAAWHOOOOOSH!!!!!!!! Muskies rule. |

| Performance Tuned, welcome to the addiction. That was a very level-headed thing you did to put the fish's well-being first and foremost. Most guys in that situation want to take picture and celebrate, take pictures and celebrate, and on and on while the fish is out of the water. I've never killed a musky (that I know of), but can honestly say my first ones weren't handled too well.
Anyway, way to go!

Location: Cherry Valley IL | congrats! merckid, I couldn't put it any better. I got my first musky (47) and it changed my life. I was always a walleye smally guy and would look at musky guys and thought they were nutts, we are.
Better get a second job the adiction only gets worse! |

| Very nice, and my first few fish weren't handled that well either. Thats awsome that with your first fish you had the pressence of mind to look after there well being.
Keep up the good work, and congrats on your first... THREE. |
