Location: Illinois | I asked my local baitstore owner (Greg from The Fishing Connection) whether anywhere nearby services reels.
Luckily he knew of a place called Corens Rod & Reel Service

So I called ahead to find out if he had a Daiwa Luna part which I had broken, and since he did I drove up and in 10-15 minutes he had everything installed and running smoothly! The reel repairman's name is Eric and he says he's worked on any reel you can name. For labor and parts, $8.95!! I told him I'd be back at least every other year, and since I was so happy that I'd tell my friends.
If anyone didn't know about this shop and is looking for a rod/reel repair guy in the Chicagoland area, check this guy out and tell him the Daiwa Luna guy sent ya!

Location: chicago | Took my 400te their . They forgot to tighten a screw when they cleaned it. Came loose and ate up my gears during tournament on cave run. One guy said they would fix it. Another guy their tried to charge me. Buyer beware on this place. I take mine to Daves reel service in vernon hills. Certified on shimanos. |

| A dozen of my friends and I have had our reels serviced at Coren's for well over a decade and we've never had an issue. They do a great job on all varieties of reels and rods. Everybody makes an error on occasion, I bet even Dave. |
