Can anyone tell me the clearance under the rear casting deck in a 620? I ordered a new boat and want to know if a Dunwright or Lakewood will fit under it.

I'm thinking you cannot get them under the deck? I know people who use their Lakewoods as there casting deck. You can fit the large Plano boxes under there.

Mike,

I originally bought a tall box from Dunwright. Then I bought a short version of the same box because they explained that it would fit under the casting deck. Honestly I havent personnally checked to be certain. I would give the folks at Dunwright a call to be sure.

You have about 14 1/4" clearance. I dont think it will go.

My Lakewood monster does not . If I open the lid and jam it in it it begins to slide, then I get frustrated and just leave it out. I hope tha helps. In front of the deck it provides a nice extra platform to sit/ stand. I have a dual windsheild on my 620 and it fits real nice up front in front of windshield, I have yet to knock it out of the boat busting the waves on the pond. I hope this helps.

I guess I am lucky for having an elder 620. Monster fits great in the 1999 version.

The shorter dunwright boxes do fit under the deck extention however the lakewood boxes do not.

the larger Dunwright does not fit under the deck of a 621. I would figure that the clearance is pretty comparable to the 620.
