I'm interested in getting an Okuma Induron 250. Has anyone had any experience with this reel? I'm wondering if it has a disengaging levelwind.
I purchased a Tica Caiman a few years ago and was very disapointed with it because of that feature.

Bob, contact Mark Rogers directly at Okuma for all the info you need. He will help you out (if he doesn't see and answer here 1st). His addy is [email protected] I know that the 400 is a great reel and this is just a scaled down version of that.

the 250 has an engaged levelwind.

http://www.okumafishingteam.com/reels/roundbaitcast/induron.html
look over on the right side where it lists features: "Engaged levelwind on 250/400 models."

You guys think the 250 would be up to the task for a jerkbait/all around reel?

Sorry guys... I was away from the computer for a few days. As Lambeau said... the levelwind is engaged on the 250 sized IDX-400A. Make sure you order the "A" version as the older version did not have the engaged system. If you have any other questions... please let me know.
