Anyone fished this lake? My fiance` jokingly suggested moving to Tennessee tonight and I questioned whether or not Tennessee was known for musky fishing, and after a quick google search, Dale Hallow Lake came up a lot. Figured there must be some good musky fishing down there, Kentucky sure does! So anyways, that's how I came to starting a thread on Dale Hallow Lake, TN. and the whole topic of musky's in Tennessee.

From what I understand the musky population on Dale Hollow is spread thin. I believe it's got the state record musky. I spent a couple of days on Dale Hollow several years ago bass fishing when I was maybe 15. The locals laughed at us. We ended up leaving and heading back to Kentucky Lake/Barkley for a few days of "quality" bass fishing. I think you have better options than Dale Hollow, but I will let others chime on what those options are.

www.dalehollowmuskies.com will give you an idea of the fisherie down there. It's mostly a trolling bite. Not stocked by either state, and the muskies have survived despite the bass guys pitching them up on islands and throat cutting and all that. They are in there, but it's a big piece of water. Fantastic smallmouth population, though, walleye, trout..... a beautiful lake that gives me many pleasant memories. m

I would suggest Melton Hill instead of dale. Dale muskies are not a year round thing. They have their best luck in the winter. Dale has them but their few and far between down there. I would recommend the fantastic smallmouth fishin at dale though. Dale has some hawg smallies in it and you can catch a lot of them if the conditions are right!
