Finally got out with some decent weather to try out some lures at a local lake for about an hour. After all the hype about Hellhounds, I had to get a couple and they do look good. Probably will be getting a couple more. I wish there was a 6 inch version. I also tried a new homewrecker. Definitely a big time topwater. I found that I have to work it very aggressively. It makes a lot of noise. The super freak also looks pretty cool in the water. Kind of like a hawg wobbler, but more subtle and I can fish it faster. Couldn't really check out any cranks because the water was too dirty. I tried out some new 250 lb. and 300 lb. flourocarbon leaders. I'm not sold on them for gliders yet. They are super stiff and still have some curve to them after being taped to my wall for a week. If I can get them straightened out they could be good.

I also tried out some big bucktails and decided there are some I definitely like better than others. I will be taking a couple apart to adjust the components.

Feels good to be on the water. Only 11 days till my first musky outing this year.
