Location: Rhinelander, WI | Please only vote here if your personal best is from Wisconsin. I am just curious where the numbers come in, based on the percentages from the other poll.
Thanks!

Location: Rhinelander, WI | MAN! I hate posting these polls, this is already screwed up, becasue you wont be able to see the relults unless you vote. Which makes it hard when not everyones personal best is from WI. Lambeau could you fix that for me, becasue the edit doesn't allow me to change it. Either add a P.B. not from WI button, or disable the hide feature. Sorry about this.
Thanks
Mike

So Mike... maybe you should just poll "what is your largest fish from WI?" |

Location: Roscoe IL | This poll brings me to ask a question. Would you rather catch a 50" slob with girth that is just plain sick? Or a 51" that is a nice fish but not as heavy? The 50" is in the 40 # class range & would out weigh the 51 by 10lbs give or take...

Give me the shorter, but FAT fish any day. I'll take that farther and say I would rather catch a really heavy 48 than a skinny 51. I caught a fairly slender 45 this year, and a relatively heavy 44, and the 44 was a much stronger fish, and looked better/cooler too.

Well... I think in general people would agree that FATTER is better.... since it implies BIGGER. If comparing two 48 inchers and one is 25 pounds and the other is 35 pounds.... I think most would agree that the 35 pounder is bigger. And if bigger is better... well???
Quite honestly, I think there is more to the catch than just the size of the fish. Here are two fish that I caught in 2007 that fit ToothyCritter's example (49 vs 51 inches). I'm tickled pink to have caught either one of them.... but I feel the shorter fish was "bigger" due to its weight.

Location: Bloomer, Wi | 50" from chippewa county, and to weigh in on the would you rather get a fatty or a long skinny. This was my 1st 50 and it had a split lower jaw so it was obviously not eating well but when I finally broke 50" it was an awesome feeling of accomplishment. Of course i wish it could of had a 27" girth but you get what you get.
