Anybody use one of these? I can't find info on the line retrieval per crank, but with a 6.2:1 ratio and a decent size spool, I would imagine it is also fast like the trinidads. Made in the USA is pretty cool too!

Anybody? they're only a few bucks more than the Trinidad. Penn's making some pretty nice reels these days. I'd be interested to hear how they compare.

i met up with about 4 Penn engineers on a plane going to China ... make sure you check on that made in USA thing ... they started making reels in China about two years ago ... i'm pretty sure that the 975 fits that description but not sure about some of the others.

No levelwind.

Sled, Looked around on and found that the Torque Series is still made in the good ol U.S. of A.

Just found a line retrieval rating: The TRQ100 is 31", TRQ200 is 41". and the TRQ300 is a whopping 48" per crank, and they weigh in at 16 oz, 20 oz., and 29 oz., respectively. A little heavier than the Trinidads when you get up to the 300, but that's a big reel. But they have some huge line capacities.

Wish I could see one firsthand to get an idea of the size in comparison to the Trinidads. Anybody know of a good website that does reel comparisons for saltwater gear?
