What is a Zander? I know it's European, it sure looks like a walleye? I assume it's in the Walleye family or a cousin to the Walleye?
Thanks! |

| Walleye is a member of the Zander family, I believe. |

Location: So. Illinois | Now that is a cool fish. Web sources state that it is a member of the perch family. Heard it is good for the table... |

Location: The desert | Nice work buddy! The Zander is good for the table, and you might actually be surprised how often it is served at a fish fry as walleye. |

Ya,
Last yr.at this time in Mpls. a TV station caught about 6-7 nice dinning estab. serving zander instead of walleye.... Needless to say that their business went down quickly.
Oh, very nice fish Snoekfisker... Do they put up much of a fight ?

Location: Maple Grove | Ya, I saw that story too. I know I had walleye, or should I say Zander, at some of those establishments. I could never tell the difference. |

| Great fish! Congrats. Probably better suited for posting over at WalleyeFirst, though.
Caught trolling? On what bait? You ever try trolling spinner rigs(crawler harnesses) over there? |
