Location: The desert | I am setting up an interview with the MN DNR in Lake City on the Mississippi River and am curious as to the fishing opportunities that are available in the vicinity of Lake City. Any species, lake or river, I'm not overly picky, but musky info would be helpful. Thanks.

| you didnt say confine it to muskie????
If not ,,,,Lake Pepin right in town is full of walleye, northerns, silver bass and just about everything else
trout streams to the south by Rochester -Whitewater river
Big northerns by the mouth of the vermillion river on Missisippi in the backwater area this is north of LC
Your not all that terribly far from the metro and tonka or some of the south subburb tiger lakes,,,cedar,,
southern part of the state has French lake but thats more cental south a bit of a jog from Lake City
Nokomis in south MPLS,,by airport has decent tiger population
depending on time your better off just heading to the metro

| Don't forget pool 4 in Red Wing. Some of the best walleye/sauger fishing in the state. Peak season is now through mid-April but you can catch them year round.
Not a whole lot of ski fishing in the area, but you can make the cities within an hour or so. Lots of options in the metro.
