Quick strike rigs would be hard to cast. You'd likely would throw the sucker off the hooks. Normally you just set them over the side of the boat and drop down to the desired depth. In states that allow more than 1 line, the other line casts artificials and many times they follow and see the sucker and grab the bait, you set by breaking the sucker free of the hooks, sticking hooks into the fish.

You want a video of what? Casting a sucker or rigging a sucker?

NETMASTER,
You can buy quick strike rigs at just about any store that sells Musky tackle (that would be one option to get you started). I typically set the sucker at the depth I want and let them float out a ways behind the boat. Sometimes you can just let one sit right along side the baot and when a fish follows another line in they will take the sucker at boatside. If you do a search, you will find info/video on rigging and fishing with suckers. Definately worth figuring out for some fall action!!!

NETMASTER, if you are anywhere near Madison WI the elders in the club are teaching the masses in all kinds of subjects. Sucker rigs being just one of many. The school is March 8th and we have Steve Worrall partaking in the classes. pm me for more details. It is open to the public.

In the sucker class we get live suckers and the instructors rig up and show how its done. Then you get to do it. Hands on instructing. Can't ask for anything more than that.

Dont be afraid to use the search feature on this site.....tons of info out there on Quickstrikes. I used the Howie Rig this fall and found it really simple to tie up on my own and rigging the sucker is as easy as can be. The hooking percentage on it was very good as well. I think I missed one, maybe two fish on it, all others were hooked in the same spot of the mouth and had no chance of getting off. Here is a link to the how to video of the Howie Rig.
