Never fished Nokomis....mostly Johanna, Calhoun, and Cedar( excellent populations of Tigers and some fatties as well..These lake also have very clear water) You can buy SS Shads at Thorne Bros. or directly from Kyle at Smoker Tackle. He's a swell muskie fisherman and a nice guy to boot. http://www.smokertackle.com/. The patterns that seem to work best on the clear lakes in the metro are the shad, crappie, and whitefish. The squirrely versions outproduced the regular last year as well. If you try Nokomis you might want to go for some brighter colors as the water there is murky. I've heard of some monsters coming out of there. Good Luck! |

| The same baits that work for pure strains will work for tigers. I caught tigers on phantoms, depth raiders, top raiders, and 10" Jakes laste year. There is no need to downsize for tigers.

| Monongahela River in Pa. "The Mon" for short. It was a beautifully colored fish, the pic really doesn't show it like I remember it. That was 2 years ago, maybe I'll get her again! |

Location: Syracuse, New York | All the same baits and strategies will work. I have had the greatest success when I can match the bait they're feeding on.
Here's one that came through the ice on Superbowl Sunday:

Location: Wausau, Wisconsin | A sucker fooled this guy twice in two years. Before that a client caught her on a Slopmaster. I think she's grown to love Tuffys. John Sparbel who guides with us has a 44" and then again at 48" on the same Suick. I'll have him send some photos.

Location: On the X that marks the mucky spot | The only tigers that will be in WBL would be natural ones. Probably not more then a handful. There's a few in Tonka that were stocked about 10 years ago. Also 1-2 that may have "escaped" from local fishtanks |
