| I thought I would show some of this process for some of the baitmakers that have not seen it......It is a fairly simple process once you have a proven bait to work with.......Enjoy..Doug Bradley

Location: Chicagoland | Doug, where can you buy that kind of paper? I tries to spray a photo printed on photo paper onto foil and then applying it, but it didn't turn out so well. Can I get a brand name? |

| Doug,
That bait looks great! Have you ever tried printing on tissue paper and then putting that over a foil bait? |

| The picture can come from a sideview in a book, photo you heve taken etc..... Go to the copyshop, blow it up to the size glider you are working with or wanting to make and be creative......Then have that size blown up in color, and a reverse view made also for the other side....Doug Bradley |

Location: The Sportsman, home, or out on the water | pretty real, but doesnt that take some of the art out of a bait? I take pride in the fact that not every perch i paint looks exactly like another.
Not knocking you, because what you did was cool. I just like one that does not look like another.

| I hear you Rob, I enjoy the custom airbrush very mush also but this is a way to achieve a natural appearing bait with less work and less time invested for those who want to make a glider and have little airbrush exp or just dont have the time. Once you get started it is a very simple cheap ( 2.00$ for the copys)system. As compared to the expense for airbrush equip , turning unit and all that we use, this is a style that is achievable for many that dont have what we do..
One could use this system with a paint brush, two cans of paint and place to hang and dripcoat the epoxy........
I take alot of pride in my airbrush patterns also as you can see with my Bass glider but somtimes simple is just as much fun to create..............Doug Bradley |

| I think this is very cool. I'm more interested in catching fish than collecting the baits, so this more efficient system makes tons of sense to me! Thanks, Doug! |

Location: Muskoka Ontario,Canada | These are great fish catching baits no doubt. As Doug mentioned, not everyone has the ability to airbrush well enough to get close to this level of realism. Naturally it's a different market that collects the hand painted custom baits. Those customers enjoy and appreciate the time invested in their baits finish.
The only time I ever got upset with someone doing these photo finishes was when the person conveniently
neglected to mention that he hadn't actually painted the realistic finish and was taking credit for his incredible airbrushing skills. |
