Location: Corning, Iowa | I want to buy a new rod, to throw 4,5,6, oz. baits. I know everyone uses long rods, but want to stay with, maybe 6/9 to 7/2. Need alittle help. I like Loomis caps. LOL Thanks Doug |

| There are alot of opinions here. How much do you want to spend? I love my Premier 6'09". I could only imagine what the tournament series must be like. Kdawg |

Location: Corning, Iowa | I've never used anything over 7 ft. We have a 16.5 boat, usually 3,maybe4 people. I'm a novice, storage. I know a longer rod would be easier to throw big baits, but I just can't talk myself into buying one, and then not likeing it, and I'm stuck with it. I only make it big fish fishing maybe every year or two. I understand the benefits of a longer rod. I've read all of your post about them, and agree. Just can't do it. Thanks Doug |

Location: WI | For years I've been using 6'9 and 7 ft rods. Last summer I bought a 7.6 and it was waay nicer and easier to figure eight. I plan on buying another one this spring sometime. |
