What the best material to use for scale affect when painting?

I also use any type of screens you can find. Home Depot is a great place to find odd things to paint through. When painting through these remember less paint is better...

-Onion bags and washing bags work well.
I've used two different scale washing bags on these old jerkbaits:

I have also bought big laundry bags and sports bags and that material is great. It is thick and can take a lot of painting. Forgot to add you cna go to a fabric shop too.

Have not tried an onion bag! Cheap too and good material.

Go to a fabric store and buy some brideal veil material. It comes in a wide range of patterns.
