My favorite lure is a small believer crankbait in either perch or shad pattern, depending on where I'm fishing.

| Loaded question. I have favorite baits... for certain conditions and certain lakes.
Wood: SS Shad
Shallow Rocks: Shallow Invader
Open water/anything deep: Mag Dawg or Curly Sue
Weeds: Cowgirl/DC-10/my own homebrew double 10
Thick weeds: Rad Dog or Llungen Nut Buster (mag willow)
Throw back to a big fish: Hoodini (walk the dog topwater w/ grub on back) or Llungen Squirko
Canada (LOTW) top 5: Suick (orange/black dot), double 10 bucktail (something with orange/red/chart or silver blades), Top Raider, Shallow Invader (gold shiner or hot walleye), Hoodini
Look at the situation before you and base lure decision that way.

Location: Musky Tackle Online, MN | Definitely depends on a bunch of factors. But if forced to pick one - Shack Attack's Curly Sue.

Thunderhead slammers and hellhounds.
Brian
How fast do you fish the thunderhead? I have one and to me the speed has to be faster than I like to get it to work correctly (spin good). |
