Saw a demostration at the Chicago show wear the line was fused by heating the twisted ends of the line. Supposedly this is stronger than tying a knot ? Does anyone have any experience with this leader material?

I use it on my jigs all the time, but tie a knot. I've never had a failure with a knot with Tyger leader, and that is laying into fish pretty hard with a jig, and also into some pretty big trees and rocks. lol

I've seen it melted but only when used to put a blade on the tail of a jig. I've never melted it myself so hopefully someone else will comment there. The knots do hold well though, but you have to slide it down to the eye by using the tag end of the leader so you don't get a kink in front of the knot.

I use it for all leaders. Ithought fusing a knot would work the best but due to a demonstration I was wrong. Just fusing it works better. I have never had a failure and I have used a single leader all season. Last year I got a 53 incher on a leader that had al ready caught about a dozen fish. No nicks ,no kinks. 50 lb for little tails 70 or 90 for bigger stuff.
