Location: Twin Cities | I am sending my lowrance unit back for a new one, but before I do so I need to backup all my waypoints. To do so I need to power on the head unit, and since my boat is stored way up north I really dont want to drive up there to get my power hookup so that I can run the data backup.
So the question I have is there anyone in the MN metro area that would let me use their lowrnace power cord off their boat to hook up my unit for just 5 minutes. In return I can help with any low end, dirty job you would like.....or beer always works too.
email: [email protected]
or IM me
Thanks!!!

Location: Hayward, WI | I live in the area of the "Northwoods." Depending on what type of boat you have, I may drive your boat down to you. That is, as long as I get to haul it back to the northwoods and use it until the end of the season, or until I find a newer boat to replace the one I have now.
Seriously though, maybe somebody with the same unit would be willing to mail you a power cord and you just mail it back when you are done with it.

Location: Olathe< Kansas | Wish I could help but not close to you..KC area.
Here is a thought-- Is there a sporting goods store around your area that has a Lowrance display with active units??? Just maybe they would let you Hook up your's long enough to save your info to a MMC chip..
OR.. Lowrance does make car adptor cord for their GPS / Sonar units. I use my LMS332 in the truck on long trip.. Maybe you find this cable / adptor locally.
Just some brain storming.
Good Luck --Rick

Location: Twin Cities | Thanks for all the ideas guys, I find it hard to believe there is not 1 guy in the MN metro thats not able to help, all you other IL, KA and WI are so much more helpfull, hahah - its funny how a free trip on tonka sparked some results.
Im still lookin around.....I might go to Cabelas and try that idea out...

| Go to any store that has a display of Lowrance products, and ask the salesman if you can power your unit up and do the file save. Cabela's, Fleet Farm, Scheels, Gander, Reeds, Thornes, boat dealers, etc. Somebody will let you do it.
Or, buy a power cable. Not that expensive, and then you'll have a spare.

Location: Twin Cities | I got it, used the power hookup at Gander and it worked great. I cant believe I never though of that. Even meet some muskie guys in the process. They enjoyed looking over all my trails and waypoints. HAHAH |

Location: Twin Cities | I was actually at the maple grove one, and josh brovosky just happen to be working. So, not that I needed to worry about him since I doubt there are any secrets I have from him but I quickly deleted the trails and waypoints off the stores unit. I have some spots with so many waypoints and trails it would be a dead give a way that either the fish are biting there or some topless tanning is near by.
