I will be making a trip to the Phillips chain in Mid-June and would like any tips as I have never fished this body of water. Are there any lake maps available as I have been unable to locate? Please PM me any info you are willing to share.

Thanks,

Ken

Don't forgot to look at the stocking reports.

Be sure to stop in at Ross's sport and bait shop and talk to John. He has a wealth of info and usually(as a guide) has a pulse of happenings on the chain. He has some good maps of the chain as well. While you picked a great time to go, there are a couple of tournaments on the chain during that time frame, so you might want to check on them as well, for trip timing if you'd like to avoid or fish them. One is a full weekend deal held by the Big Brothers Big Sisters org. and the other is a one day WMT event.

Ken, never fished the actual Phillips Chain myself, but I fish in that area often. PM me if you're interested in any other musky-lakes around that area and I can help you out.
Good Luck, Jake

P.S. I second stopping in at Ross' Baitshop. Fair prices on most baits, good-priced suckers in the fall and I've talked to the worker (owner I believe) a few times and he'll give you some hints or at least let you know how they've been biting around there.
