| A few weeks ago a friendly competition developed between me and Musky Illini....just to clear things up, all was said and done in good fun, no angst or friction between the 2 of us. I won, but we determined the setting and timing was poor, so called a draw. But regardless, it was fun to go up against one other person, and to have people following the action.
Yes there are tourneys...but with so many people, as much fun as the PMTT Fantasy Challenge is (eventhough I did rotten in the Cave Run part)....it is a bit impersonal, and though we all rooted for Cady (nice showing for M1st by the way!!!) it wasn't a M1st competition.
So....I propose, that we have, either organized by M1st or on our own that we have either small scale tourneys (not necessarily on the same waters) or match competitions. What you all think???

| Volleyball season is officaly over. Sunday was regionals, so my weekends will be a little more free.
I was just informed that my team has a third. That's okay, because you guys will still kick our a$$. Chris and I have only fished this lake once, and Dan has only fished it a handful of times.
Jason, you don't stand a chance on your home water. Just ask Tony Grant, he'll tell you how hard it is to produce on your home water.
The stakes are up to you guys. I am all for a friendly day on the water. With the losers buying a round of drinks after the day is done.

| Our little Match Fishing Challenge #1 is quickly turning into a tourney....so who's in for a MATCH CHALLENGE? Not just against me, but I'm thinking more about building more a sense of comraderie and fraternity through friendly (mostly) competition between members! I'd love to see a Esox Research Group vs. Midwest Muskie Syndicate rumble....they'd over think things though, and we'd just try to intimidate! Or maybe guides vs. guides....or Tuffy vs. Ranger....or POS boats (like mine) vs. Big $$$ Rigs....OR THE ULTIMATE CHALLENGE: OLD DAWGS VS. YOUNG PUPS, my money is on us (the under 35 crowd) kicking the crap out of the old geezers!!!!!
*and Setme31, if you caught my curse I have been laying on everyone....then at least you'd get to touch a 'skie! How did the V-ball season go, I might be up for it next year, just take advil/vicadin/percasets and the shoulder would be just ffffffiiiiiiinnnnneeeeeeee!!!!

The volleyball season went well until Regionals. We won one tournament, and took third in another.
Regionals sucked. We didn't even make it out of pool play. Everybody was hurt and tired. It's a long season. And playing for 10 hours straight every weekend really kills your body. I took 8 or 9 advil a day just to be able to walk. My legs are still killing me from Sunday. I played golf today after work, and I could barely swing the club (still shot a 41).
Oh well there's always next year. Let me know if you are interested, and I can set up a try out day for you next November. | |
