My little brother as gottern the fever and lives in Ashland County, Next year i would like to take him out on a guided trip in Ashland, Iron, Bayfield or close county. Any suggestions on lake and guide? I have only fished the chip with Dave Dorazio and would like to try a lake closer to Ashland. I was thinking maybe turtle flowage or pike lake chain.. Any help would be awesome.

Not too many good waters in Ashland / Bayfield but Iron has some good ones.
Gile Flowage or Turtle Flowage. For TFF Howie Meyer or Brian Long know it well. I think Brian Long is a teacher and still guides if I'm right, I think he knows Pike/Round well too. Gile, Howie Meyer knows well, some big fish in there and very low pressure.

I did a search and couldn't find Brians contact info but I bet someone on here has it...

I fished with him on the TFF last Summer and can tell you that it was an excellent experience. I've fished with a handful of other guides, and nothing against them, but Brian's professionalism is second to none. He is focused on putting you on fish.

I agree with the above..though I have never fished with Brian, the one time I met him briefly I could tell right away he was the real deal and he does his best to get clients on fish...one guy I'd like to fish with on the TFF someday!

You can't go wrong with either of the 2 guides really...both work their tail off and know the water...also, I would caution against getting one of the other multi species guides that guide up in that area...to me they just don't have the day to day knowledge of what the muskies are doing and where...go with a Musky guide !

I would also agree with Howie Meyer for the TFF or the pike lake chain. Seven Islands guide service: 715-686-7155
