Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Loaded question, really. My favorite water is Wabigoon, so I REALLY like Indian Point Camp. great people, great location. If I was heading to Eagle, it would be AML. Sabaskong Bay, Red WIng Lodge. And so on... |

| Steve you actually mention the #1 lake I'm considering! Have you ever stayed at Bonny Bay? Or do you know anyone that has.
Thanks

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Yes. I stay at Indian Point because the SW winds on Wabigoon can really work the lake up. I like Indian Point Camp's location because it's somewhat central to the water I feel is best out there, and is protected from almost any really strong winds. The docks there are safe from almost any bad winds. The resort is very nice, with many improvements made the last couple years. |

| I have only been to one and it was Crawford's Resort on Crow Lake. I would like to try Muskie Bay Resort if I go back to Crow.

Location: north central wisconsin | Excellent question. While I have a favorite body of water up there no doubt, we really don't care much for the resort since it has been taken over. I like NW Angle of LOTW as a second favorite water, because Walsh's Baystore is simply my favorite dedicated fishing camp in Canada. If I was going to Eagle Lake I'd stay with Silver Hunt again at Wahldoff Bay camp, because of price, location, great meals and the fact that he's gone out of his way to help us out over the years. I cannot compare to any other on Eagle as that is the only place I've stayed but liked it enough to go back. Buddy and I were just discussing, over Christmas, how big a difference there is between favorite resorts and favorite waters to fish up there. Alters the decision making process depending on the group, no doubt(some camps are just fishing places, great locations, while others might be more accomodating to families so that needs to be taken into account as well). Lots of great water to fish up there, but a good resort choice resort can really make your trip wonderful. Lots of choices out there though, and my first might just be the next guys last so doing your homework and trying a couple is a great way to find your niche up there....

| Thanks guys, Reefhawg hit the nail perfectly. There are lots of great lakes in Canada to go fish, the question is who has the best resorts. I knew that AML would get lots of votes but I am looking for the others just like a couple of you posted. I'm very interested in hearing about resorts on Lac Seul, Wabigoon, and Crow. Or others on Eagle other than AML. How about Long Legged Lake? Anyone ever stayed on that one? |

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Another plus with Indian Point Camp is the reasonably close drive time to other Muskie waters. Not that I'd do that if all I had was a week, but if I had two weeks I might wander some. |

| That's the beauty of Canada. SO much water, and SO many resorts. They all are very different so someone can find something, somwhere. We've stayed at Red Wing in Sab Bay. The Bartletts are a terrific family and Anne is quite the character. The view is terrific too. We've also stayed at Buena Vista just down the road from Red Wing. Reasonable rates, good dock space, allows pets, comfy cabins with good amenities... I could go on about BOTH places.
Since they all are so different you really have to think about what YOUR needs are. Get those clear and the searching becomes easier as you can create a list of possibilities and cross of the ones that don't meet your criteria. |

Location: Land of the Musky | Love Anglers Kingdom on Nungesser http://www.anglerskingdom.com for great pike fishing. Many 50"+ pike in that lake! Kevein has some great 18 foot Lunds with nice bass seats and casting decks with 50h Hondas to boot. I think last year it was about $800 for the entire week on the island (lodging and boat). This lake is also land locked so only a few people fish it each year. His brother has a great fly in place too. Wish he had a few musky in the lake but he big pike do make up for it! Simply crazy at times with the number of 40"+ fish you will catch in a day. Good walleye too.

Location: Tomahawk, Wisconsin | Are you looking for numbers with a possible 50+, NW Angle, lots of pressure, lots of fish, have friends that go up there and pop 60+ fish in a two week span, others go up there and get 10 or so in a week, timing is key, knowing the water.......starting to get the picture??? If I were to cross the border to fish muskies I would want the biggest and baddest and I think she lives in LacSeul................... been on Rowan would love to go back ..........if I hit the lottery and could drop my rig on that pond!!:) |

| J,
If you're looking at the Goon, Indian Point is awesome. The facilities are nice and the people even better. Forget that this Pond has kicked my butt, we've had some nice fish in the boat and have seen some pretty sick fish there, meaning XXXL. DC-10 widebodies too.The 35-40" pike will help pass the time between muskies.I would love to spend A LOT of time there but not enough to go around. I will go back and crack that nut someday. Steve |

| Tacklebooty is right about Anglers Kingdom Ive been there a few times and have to say its very under priced for the fishing that you receive. With over 400 trophy's caught and released every year its worth looking into. The camp has documented pike in the upper 50's . Our biggest pike one year were a 45-48 in 2007 and one that i caught and lost that i know was a minimum of 58. Go to their Web site and look at the big pike, you will be thinking of a trip i will guarantee it. Ive been to a lot of camps and have to say you will find no pike this quality for that cheap of a price.

Location: Muskoka Ontario,Canada | If you are interested in fishing Lake Nippissing I recommend Oak Island Lodge on the Western end of the lake. I stayed there last fall and the folks that run it are very nice and the accommodations were cozy. Some monster musky swim the waters close to the lodge too! |
