| Ok guys, it won't be long and we'll be looking at the opening of the muskie season. Different areas, different states, different dates......one question.
I don't want to know where you are going. It just dawned on me down in the basement as I 'drifted away' for a while as I sorted through muskie rods, reels, lures........What is going to be the very first lure that you are going to toss this year?
For those of you who have already started, what was it?
For you northerners that already played a little down south, what will be the first lure thrown when your home waters open?
I've got it narrowed down to either a 5" Slammer, sport show special color.....or a perch pattern Beavertail w/ a small Colorado blade.
Curious to see what everybody else has going through their mind right now.

|
| I already threw it three weeks ago and I already forgot what it was. I know what it's going to be tomorrow, my new TR Twitchers! But I will be throwing my slammer deep divers sometime during the day! |

| If I'm on Butternut, I'm leaning towards an orange/yellow Cherry Bomb,Orange tiger Amma Bamma or Orange/Yellow Hughes River. The ice went off today and the water will probably be still cooler. Will probably have a topwater hooked up also.... just in case.

| My first choice will either be a Crazy D Custom bucktail or Baby Bootail.I will also consider a topwater and a 6" twitch bait as my first choice.Like you said weather depending and water levels too.Good Luck,Paul |

| Gotta go with the go-to bait, nickle/black Buchertail 700 with a Berkley Power leach trailer. |
