I am looking at buying one. I want to be able to move it from the console to the bow (easily thats why the internal). I am wondering if the internal is as good as external? I will be using in on LOTW for both trolling and casting. I am going to use the Lakemaster map chip.
Thanks

I just read a post on Frank Walsh's website talking about internal GPS on LOTW. He is not satisfied with his compared to the external attenae. I personally have no experience with the internals at all but I know the external mounts work flawlessly up there.

With the internal antenna, you must have the antenna facing up. So, if its up front and turned back 90 degrees...you may not get signal.

I have a 334C and perfer the external antenae. I wanted to use it on the front too...but the external works better....get a lowrance and use a network cable and you will be able to use it in both positions with an external.
