I wouldn't hoard the baits, though, they are made to be fished. If you're in need of a good West Virginia made muskie crankbait, I'd suggest Gene Richardson's 'bubba' series. m

He makes 6,7,8 inch gliders, and a variety of crank baits of various sizes. One of the best hard top coats and great paint jobs, I think you'll be pleased. m

The Tuff Shad is a GREAT lure for trolling... but not the only one worth using. I think $25+ for this lure is WAY too high myself. I have a few of them but wouldnt pay that kind of money for them if I didnt have them. Another great lure is the 6" Lil Ernie... you can get these on sale for $6-$7. They are plastic... but do you think the fish really cares?

I've tried the new Llungen Krusher. Yes, the shape is similar to a Tuff Shad. I don't troll but casting I was getting it down probably about 10 feet. Lots of vibration/wobble. I suspect that Tuff Shad fans will like it. Made of solid plastic too with a heavy durty lexan lip molded in. Should be darn near indestructable.
