Auction for Ashton!

Subject: Auction for Ashton!

I have a few items I need to auction off for the Ashton Fund.

The Ashton fund was high bidder on several items on the MH board for Colin, so those items will be repackaged and offered. The principals of the fund approved of this, as we were able to donate to a great cause, and perhaps recapture a few of the donated dollars!! More on this later.

The items I wish to offer here....
1 Hughes River 6", Perch, 'in the box'.
1 Knipex bolt cutter
1 holographic finish 6" Reef Hawg.

Bidding opens at $50!!!!!
[]

Thanks, Larry, and Thanks, Mike!!

Steve,

I have a new, in the box, Guest #2608, single bank, 6 Amp battery charger I will donate. Sells for $69.99 at Bass Pro. You can add it to this group, or put it with something else. I'll leave the details up to you. This is a good cause. Just trying to help, even if only a little.

I can drop it off in Lake Mills when I pick up my boat.

Also a slightly used Poes Awaker. This one has a fish or two to it's credit I think. Still in almost new condition however. I will throw these three in if my bid is topped. Steve,

Do you have other stuff to send out to Guam? I can either drop off the charger at Lake Mills, or in Fond du Lac. Or, maybe Guam lives close by, or on the way to Petenwell. I could drop it off if it's not too far out in the boonies.[]

Congrats Guam. You made a nice haul, and it's for a good cause.

To All,

Let me first say that it makes me feel good to be able to help Ashton. It also feels good to be associated with such a generous bunch.

Sworall,

I will email you a state side address (my parents) to ship the lures and hook cutters to. As far as the battery charger, see below message to Mark H and Shep.

Larry,

Thanks for your generosity. I will also email you my parents (stateside) address and my color choice for the Tiger Tubes.

Mark H and Shep,

I do not have a use for the battery charger and would be willing to sell it to Mark H, however, I would like the payment donated to the Ashton Fund.
I will email you both on this matter.

Muskyone,

The auction I won had more than enough goodies, please keep the Tekneek for a future auction.

Thanks All,

Steve, the Guam Bomb!

Quam,

I wasn't sure at first if you were actually on Guam, but now I'm quite sure. Definately, way out in the boonies! Let's see. I could go to Petenwell, launch, and head south. Couple of dams later, I'll be on the mighty Miss. About a week or two later, I'll be in the Gulf, heading for the Panama Canal. About a month later, point her west and north, turn on the GPS, and follow the arrows. I might be there by Labor Day! Maybe I should plot the route first, and send it to you to approve first.

Or, I could get a hop to Travis AFB, talk my cousin into getting me on a C5 that is Guam bound. Or I could.. oh that's right. You might sell it to Mark H. That would change everything! From the Pete, I can head west on 21, then north on 94 to Eau Claire. Then look in the phone book for Mark's addy. 'Cept he won't be there, cuz he'll be in IOWA.

Mark, when you need it, just let me know. I'll deliver it for a ride in your new Esox Magnum. Or I could just let Sponge handle the details!

I gotta go now. My head hurts.[:0]Steve, you have mail.

Shep[:sun:]

Shep,

Guam is more of a "Boonies" than you know. We have boonie cars, boonie dogs, and actual boonies you can get lost in.

If you do make it to Guam, Free SCUBA Lessons and a Deep Sea Fishing Trip. Marlin are starting to run. That offer goes for all that participated in the auction. Although, the $1300 round trip plane ticket may make that not seem like such a good idea.

I have emailed Mark and yourself about the battery charger you donated. Let me know what you think.

Can't wait to try all the lures when I am home this summer. Will be taking a few to Worrall's Home Water, Wabigoon, during the week of Aug 17th-26 th.

Oh yeah work! Got to go.................

How was the Hot and Spicy SPAM? I've been told this is the only place they sell the stuff. More spam consumed per capita, now that's something to be proud of.

What does your wife do? Next time, hope on that plan and we'll do a little trolling.
