I am looking at buying a Sea Ark Pro 1860 Tunnel hull rigged wth a Yamaha 90/65 hp jet outboard. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experiences with this motor and so forth. Do you think a four stroke will offer plenty of power fro a jet lower unit and so forth? Any replies appreciated.
Thanks,
Rattlin RB

Let me rephrase my question to an extent. Any info on Four Stroke Yamaha motors in general. Any bad things about them? Are they better on gas than two stroke and so forth?

Thanks,
Roger

Definitely YES better on gas than a 2-stroke. The 4 stroke platform that yamaha uses has been time tested...you won't be disappointed at all.

Great powerhead, good performance, and should be plenty for a jet. Largest issue is the slower hole shot than a two stroke, but unless you have run them both, you won't really have any concerns about the difference.

That tunnel hull is going to get up and go. Holeshot should not be a concern. Not like on a Deep V boat.
