  | no ice breaking for us, but we did have to go to a different landing than planned.
didn't get any fish either, and i think i left two fingers and a bit of an ear out there.
water temps hovered between 29-30 degrees...good thing it was windy to keep things moving and open.
heading back out this morning for one more shot.
9 degrees and below 0 windchill...nothing stands in the way of fishing closing day!

  | two cold days...windchild around 0 both days, uncooperative fish, but a great time all the same.
the river and bay were making ice pinching us in the whole time.

and as we were pulling the big Tuffy with full windshield, etc., etc., off the water at 2:30pm, there was a true nutball who was just launching his row-troller solo...now THAT is die-hard down to the last minute! i hope he caught some fish.

Location: Waukesha, WI | made it out the last day. Figured I needed to run fuel stabilizer through the motor any way, why not soak suckers and cast between clearing ice out of the eyelets. Weather could have been worse, but the wind was enough which drained the trolling motor batteries pretty quick. Man I love arches on the locator that cooperate. Here's the one to wrap up the WI season for Koepp; a teaser til next season:

Location: Rhinelander, Wisconsin | Slamr and I hit Webster yesterday in 25 degree temps and a brisk wind. We ended the day in a snow squall, which was fun. No fish, but we moved a couple and had a terrified sucker keep interest up now and again. |
