| I recently talked to Brooke the owner of Brooketails about making leaders. He mentioned on all his multi-strand he used this sleeve thats would fuse together with a flame and beyond seal his leaders. He said they were absolutely unbreakable. I guess it is a metal sleeve made from a low melting metal. Has anyone used these sleeves or something close to it? And what is the name and where are they available. Thanks guys!

| Or how about this, how do you guys tie or seal your multi-strand leaders? I make my own single strand, but am looking to learn how to make my own multi-strand leaders. Any help would be great. Thanks!

| If and when I use the multi strand material, I always double sleeve and crimp all connections. I also use a sleeve of the size large enough to pass the tag end of the leader back through the sleeve one time before crimping. This gives you extra resistance against any slippage that you may have. In other words, I slide the sleeve on put the leader material through the swivel, snap or what ever I am attaching to the leader. I then pass the leader material back through the sleeve in the normal fashion. I then take the tag end of the leader and pass it back through the sleeve one more time before crimping. Using this method with double sleeves I have never had a crimp failure. I have had a new 35# stranded leader on a Jig bitten through but never come uncrimped. Hope this helps.

| What type of crimps are you using? Do you tie any type of knot other than the crimping?
I really appreciate the info guys, looking forward to more posts.
