Location: Presque Isle Wisconsin | Finally had a chance to spend a day on the water in someone elses boat on Thursdaywith Longtime friend and great live bait muskie man Dave Trevarthan from Bessemer Michigan. The wind was howling at about 30knots and air temp in 20's.Dave showed up with his big Mirro-craft fully rigged with an enclosed canopy and heater. After putting out 100' of anchor rope we relaxed in 72 degree comfort .
Two fat muskies came calling 41" and 42". After quickly unhooking them in the water at boatside we settled back in our Captains chairs and enjoyed barecued beef etc cooked on our onboard grill-AHHHHHHH perfect day with a great friend after a long season. 74 muskies hit the nets this in 2007 with lots of 48s 481/2's ect . Didnt get my annual40l+ber ,but client John Miles lost it near the boat last week.Added two more "Black Lagoons" to my list of must fish lakes this year and spent time on the water with some of the nicest people on the planet again. The Muskie First Outing in our area is something Ill really look forward to every time you choose to come back. Thanks to all the guys and ladies on this sight for making every morning on my computer interesting, informative and fun Howie

| Nice !!! We see a coulpe boats like that down here on the Fox Chain , mainly walleye fisherman from what I can tell , but when it's 30 degrees and windy and you roll past a rig like that ..... sure looks comfy !!! What a way to fish , kinda like ice fishing but better . |

| You catch fish?!
Do 'ya have to have someone reel them in for you or help you lift them out of the net? I know why you like those little lagoons, it's so you don't have to worry about getting lost, isn't it?
Seriously, though guys -- if you haven't had the opportunity to fish with Howie, I'd suggest doing so. I've fished with a lot of guides, but not many I'd consider it an honor to share the boat with. Howie is one of the few. 'Ya gotta wake him up a few times during the day, though!

Location: Appleton, WI | Sounds like you were using rod holders too! That could just get you kicked off Team Swizzle!
I second addict's words of giving yourself a real treat and getting in a boat with Howie on his Presque Isle waters. |
