Anyone out lately and can provide water temps and/or information on the cisco spawn. Without sharing lake name, provide size, depth and somewhat of a location. I'll do the same once I return from the following two weekends.
Thanks in advance.

during the Presque Isle outing the clear water lakes we hit were in the 51-54 degree range last week. Howie Meyer and Adam Johnson both felt that the warming trend leading up this had stalled out water temps and that this was the worst possible scenario for good fall action. need a cold snap with a good drop to the water temps to get things kicking. cisco were not spawning yet, nor really even staging in any significant way as far as we could tell.
shallower stained water lakes were as cool as 45-46.

Fished a deep, clear lake near Eagle River that tops out around 70’ deep and 600 acres. Water temps were 52-54° on 28-Oct-07.

Cisco spawn a long way off yet. I would expect the cisco spawn will be very near the end of the musky season, if not after unless this weather change drastically in Nov. I’ll be back up Nov 9-11 and will report water temps then. Last year at that same time period the Ciscos were spawning on Twin (39°), but a couple of other lakes in the same area were still 43-45°, and the cisco’s weren’t even staging heavy yet.

Thanks for the info...with next weeks forecast to be in the 30's during the day - looks like the 10/11 maybe a good weekend. If not, I hope they wait until Thanksgiving weekend.

I was on two seperate lakes for a few hours over the weekend. My 3 and 6 year old boys did as well as I could ask for while on the water.
Satuday, lake is just south of St. Germain and max depth of 62 feet and less than 500 acres. Temps 47 - 49. Water seemed dirty. Baitfish were in 15-25 feet of water off of main lake flats.
Sunday, lake near Minocqua less than 500 acres and max depth of 35 feet. Water temps were 48.5 though out the whole lake. Baitfish were harder to find, but found most relating to downed timber in 10-15 feet of water.
Up coming weekend looks interesting weather wise...we'll be out on a few cisco lakes after dark looking for some fresh meat to scoop up.
