The term "Photoperiodism" comes from the Latin word "msidoirepotohp", meaning the suns' correct alignment for picture taking....the effect it has on a muskys feeding behavior is a delicate topic among the brightest/intelligent among us...but this has been agreed upon--a picture of a fish taken on a bright day has little effect on their feeding as opposed to a night/dark day picture; the flash causes temporary blindness in the fish rendering it virtually impossible to obtain food for a period of up to three quarters of an hour afterward...eventually the fish will become "camera shy" + nigh impossible to catch. I find it is better to take along a set of charcoals + a sketch pad to capture the "moment", or if the weather is nice some pastel water colors + an easel. this way you can make the fish look as large as you like......[::)] [:sun:]

This term means the way plants and animals respond to the day length.

Actually it has something to do with the time of day when the sun is setting and it becomes totally dark.It might have something to do with the position of the sun too, just trying to get some insight on this.

My wife experiences "photoperiodism" once every month and it ain't pretty. Once just needs to keep their distance at a minimum of 50 yards when women are experiencing this particular phenomenom.

DOC!!

Turn off the lights, and the photo part goes away. (easy on the wife, she WILL kick your proverbial butt if she sees this stuff!!)

Ask a question on MuskieFIRST, and one has NO idea what one may learn!!!
