I have the Navionics 07 Premium lake map chip for my Lowrance GPS. Does anyone know if I can somehow read this into my PC and then view the maps? I want to zoom in and view areas prior to fishing. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

John

You need the navplanner software from navionics. I've heard of other guys doing it with mapcreate but also heard of people corrupting the map trying.

Can't be done with Map Create. But if you download one of the Emulators from Lowrance, you can bring up the map and move and zoom. Just like you have it in your boat.

What hardware do you use to read the memory card into your PC?

Any card reader that handles sd/mmc (most all of them) but I wouldn't do it. Heard of too many guys corrupting the card messing with it. If you want to try you can get a nice card reader here for cheap (same one I have) http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10306&...
Looks like orange is the only one they have in stock.
