Matt, if you're looking for a good price on a good reel, check out the Okuma Magda's. I think they run around $40. I've run 6 this past year for ski's as well as the crome fish on the big pond. After the beating they've taken this year, they are still rocking. I'm using them now for suckers, and so far so good. Drags are good, clickers are loud and best yet, I haven't had an issue yet, and they've gotten a TON of h2o time.

If you were going to choose the Accudepths, I would go for the Magdas over those. For the extra money, the sealines are good reels as well.

I really like my Magda's, I run 4 of them. Haven't had a single problem with them. Used them for 3 years now, just don't let Slamr step on them, they can't take that kind of abuse!!!!!!!

I would go Sealine's myself. I have 12 of them and they get pounded on Lake Michigan. 30lb stranded wire with a 16oz ball on some rigs, 50lb super braid on a couple others and 25lb mono on yet others. Mine take a beating on big fish. They have not missed a beat. I know they will hold up on musky as musky do not fight like a salmon.

Daiwa did make some improvements on the Accudepth, but the Sealine Series is/has been THE standard in Linecounter trolling reels for a long time. Lots of good options available today. Steve

Another choice in the line of the Sealines are the Okuma Convectors. I haven't run them, but I know those that do and they are loving them as well.

That being said, Sealines are great in their price range but I would go to a Magda over the Accudepth in that price range.

Convectors are VERY sexy for the price; super smooth, loud clicker, awesome power handle.

Just ordered up a magda! I was going to order a convector(great price @ cabelas) but they were on back order. I'll use it for suckers primarily, and the occasional trolling pass LOL
