Over the past month, I have had 2 8' Shimano Compre Rods Break. The first time it is possible any rod could have been broken (maybe), the second time the tip just came off after one day of use, definetely should not have happened.

The second rod was bought from Bass Pro Shops Online, I definetely feel like it should be replaced...From experience, should I be contacting someone at Bass Pro or contact Shimano themselves?

You can return that to Bass Pro and they will take care of you.

Try one, then the other.

is it the tip-top line guide that came off, or did the rod blank itself break?
if it's the line guide coming off, just use some 2-part epoxy to resecure it to the end of the blank and you'll be good to go without the hassle of trying to return/exchange the rod.

Hot melt glue is perfect for tip top repair.

If you never plan on removing the tip top, epoxy is the way to go.

Otherwise, the hot melt glue SW mentions is awesome too.

I've done this on a few rods. Piece of cake

I have found the hot melt glue that I use does not always hold up to the heat of the summer and the torque musky baits put on the tip.

Stainless steel tip with epoxy and you will never have to worry about it.
