I make a small hole with an awl. The awl punches through the sucker much easier than a screw driver. Then reach through the hole with a small hemostat and grasp the end of the swivel and pull the swivel through the hole. This works better than trying to push the swivel through the hole. Good video.

this rig worked really really well for me last weekend. I went 3 for 4, but the one I missed I was trying to maneuver back to it when it took the sucker and ran (swam). A Spro swivel easily routes through the suckers nose. This rig worked through weeds better than any other rigging I've used. Thanks for sharing!

Very nice video! Thanks for putting this up. This is probably a stupid question, but what exactly is tieble-flexable type line from Courtland? I like to try this rig, but I'm not sure I'm clear on the exact line mentioned in the video. Thanks in advance for any replies.

Do not use flourocarbon for this ,you will get biteoffs .I tried this several years ago and had 1 caught and 2 biteoffs and stopped using it rght then. Try it with tyger braid

The Cortland line is something....toothy critter something. Don't have the package here, but it's green, and in the name is something toothy critter. My PREFERENCE is for the Tyger Leader. AND, I CONCUR: if you are using floro, eventually bad things are going to happen. It's not a leader thats attached to a swivel, attached to a lure which is attached to a hook....this is line to hook, to fish. There's a much better chance that the lead end attached to the hook will be IN the fish's mouth. If it's IN the mouth, I personally feel better with coated steel.

Thank you again for the video! I wound up buying a pack of the Tyger Leader (50#). a little pricey at 10.99, but I put a very nice fish in the boat this past Sunday in Indiana using this rig. I would of payed a lot more for that fish... LOL!
I love this rig! No hardware, all Business! Also, I stuck a pair of braid scissors in the suckers lip, and spreaded them a little. This seemed to make a perfect slit to side the barrel swivel through with ease. Thanks again.
