| Being hardcore river rats like myself I am turning this question your way. What tactics do you use fishing the long rip rap/rocky shores along the Wisconsin river? Early in the year I like to use small hot colored bucktails and slow glide/jerk baits. When the water hits 50 or so I'll start throwing loud topwater. Do you spend a lot of time hitting the rip rap? Thanks. | |

| MM,IMHO-all rip-rap is definatly NOT CREATED EQUAL.I have found these areas best suited during high water/w current and during a warming trend up untill about 60deg.If you really want to do your homework you should be out walleye fishing and following them around as throughout the early spring they are the main easy pick`ins/post spawn and lazy forage.(in my opinion)I have followed them around for many years and they seem to do me many favors! When the walleyes move out and downstream,I would be following them cause what you are looking for will be also!If you got any specific locations you might want a little more info on E-mail me at home, time is nearing!Hope its a little help!
