Location: Columbus, Georgia | We had heard the other day (and seen) that there were a few big girls raised in one of the Cave Run Lake hollows... so we went hunting.
On the spot at 6:30AM, and my girlfriend Sue caught her first Musky at 7AM in 8 feet of water on a Top Raider. The fish was successfully released without incident.
The fish measured 48 inches and had a 20 inch girth. The water down here has finally started to cool (73 degrees on Wednesday), and fish like this will be bulking up over the weeks ahead.
Sue is my regular fishing partner and has been committed to Musky fishing for some months now. She says she's "hooked for life" after this debut.
